Mengneng Technology Boosts Anti-Corrosion Innovation in Wind Power

The rapid development of new energy is profoundly changing the global energy structure. Wind power, as an important representative of clean energy, is experiencing a new wave of construction. However, due to the long-term exposure of wind power equipment to harsh environments, corrosion has become one of the biggest threats to its reliability and service life. Against this backdrop, Mengneng Technology has signed the first large-scale wind power anti-corrosion cooperation agreement in China with a total installed capacity of over 800MW, becoming an important partner in the new energy sector.

The cooperation covers multiple wind farms located in coastal and inland regions. The coastal wind farms face extremely high salt mist and humidity, which require the coatings to have strong salt mist resistance and adhesion. Inland wind farms, on the other hand, face challenges such as wind and sand erosion and large temperature fluctuations. In response to these complex environmental conditions, Mengneng Technology customized a new coating system for the project. This system uses DreamCover 220 Gns graphene-enhanced intermediate coatings.

Anti-Corrosion Coating System Innovation and Testing

To ensure the best performance of the coatings in real-world applications, Mengneng Technology's technical team carried out six months of testing and optimization. The results showed that this coating system not only effectively resists high salt mist erosion but also significantly enhances the wear resistance and aging resistance of the coatings. Especially in the sand erosion test, the wear rate of the coating was reduced by more than 40% compared to ordinary coatings, and the service life of the coating was extended by about five years.

Meanwhile, Mengneng Technology also introduced a series of intelligent technologies for the project construction. The company's developed coating management system can monitor coating thickness, curing status, and environmental parameters in real time, and remotely analyze data through a cloud platform. This not only improved construction quality but also reduced errors that may arise from manual intervention.

Cost Savings and Environmental Benefits

The project owner highly praised Mengneng Technology's anti-corrosion solution. Data shows that since the completion of the project, the frequency of equipment maintenance has decreased by nearly 50%, and annual maintenance costs have been reduced by approximately 7 million yuan. More importantly, the environmental characteristics of this coating system comply with the current "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" policy requirements, providing important support for the project's green certification.

Additionally, Mengneng Technology plans to expand the application range in the wind power sector based on this project. The company is developing a series of special coatings for extreme environments, such as ultra-low temperature coatings for wind power equipment in cold regions and high-adhesion topcoats for offshore wind power equipment. These products are expected to be launched in the next two years.
