What kind of coating is used for corrosion protection in energy storage battery cabin

The requirements for energy storage battery cabins are indeed high — corrosion resistance, fire resistance, and high-temperature resistance?

As energy storage technology is increasingly applied in wind power, grid-side systems, and factories, fire incidents have become frequent, seriously threatening safety and investments.

The root causes often lie in metal corrosion and thermal aging, leading to short circuits and chain explosions.

That’s why energy storage cabins must possess comprehensive protective capabilities: anti-corrosion, fire-resistance, and heat-resistance.

To meet these demands, Mengneng has invested heavily in R&D.

This project adopts Mengneng’s graphene-based coating system — Graphene has natural flame-retardant properties and forms a dense char layer, achieving a fire resistance rating of over 1 hour.

In the event of a short circuit or overheating inside the cabin, it effectively delays the spread of fire. At the same time, it offers excellent anti-corrosion performance, complies with ISO 12944 standards, and supports customized base/intermediate/top coat solutions tailored to project needs.

Currently, this coating system has been successfully applied in multiple solar-storage integrated projects, providing long-term safety protection for energy storage systems.
