Cold Zinc Spraying Solves Flange Corrosion Issues

Did you know?

As of now, the total operating mileage of China’s high-speed rail has exceeded 46,000 kilometers, ranking first in the world—surpassing the total mileage of all other countries combined!

Every component supporting this massive system is critically important. For example, the flange surface, a key part of the high-speed rail connection system, requires extremely high corrosion protection, capable of withstanding over 25 years of exposure to the elements.

However, the traditional hot zinc spraying process comes with many issues: low application efficiency, high demands for surface roughness, coatings that are prone to peeling, and even the risk of damaging flange precision.

Therefore, the client chose our cold zinc spraying solution. Faced with deep bolt holes and difficult anti-corrosion applications, MengNeng engineers cleverly designed a dedicated tool: cold zinc coating is filled into a custom container with an extended spray rod, enabling full-surface spraying first, followed by precise treatment of the bolt hole areas.

Cold zinc spraying follows the same principles as hot zinc spraying, offering equivalent corrosion resistance, while improving application convenience and coating quality. It has become a new choice for protecting high-speed rail flange surfaces.
